I am a twenty-something first-time mum.
Originally from the Philippines, I lived in Tokyo, Japan for five years before being transplanted to the United Kingdom. I have worked as a newscaster, writer, teacher and school administrator. I am a self-declared nomad who has travelled to fourteen (and counting!) different countries. I enjoy photography, books and movies. I am mad about shoes, handbags and more shoes.
I live in a pretty little town in England with my husband (R), our baby daughter (Aeyen), and our Uglydoll (Wedgehead).
BittenSmitten began as an account of how I got bitten by the baby bug and found myself smitten like never before. Although I still write about my experiences in motherhood here, Bitten Smitten has now transformed into the beautiful love affair between two things I love–children and photography. I specialise in custom portraits of big and little people, and I show some of my recent work in this blog. Please also visit my photography website for more samples of my work.
If you are looking for expert advice on parenting and babies, this is not the place to go. However, if you want to know that there is another mum out there who is as sleepless, as frantic, as experimental, as confused and as madly-in-love as you are, then perhaps you will feel at home here.
Thanks for visiting and do drop by again!

I wonder how your kid handles the language in different countries.
Ah, a fellow ESOL teacher….. I try to speak to her in Filipino, English, and Japanese. I have no idea how she would cope with that!
