I really don’t know what I will do without these girls.
I have known so many single mums who are doing or have done a fantastic job going through parenthood on their own. You can be a wonderful parent with equally wonderful children without a partner. But one should never walk the road of parenting without the company of mummy friends.
Partners can only listen so much to you talk about baby stuff. But mum-friends would spend hours wax philosophical about swollen gums and dribble. We furrow our eyebrows together and analyse the decibel difference in the little ones’ cries. We get excited together about first-time crawlings and licked-up lunch bowls.
It’s about going through everything together. It’s about knowing that you are not on your own.

Sometimes, I wonder why we are where we are at the moment. But these girls make me feel thankful about being here. Very thankful indeed.
gorgeous moms!
